Your feedback needed to help our retail sector
We know that it feels like Christmas was a long time ago but we encourage community members and businesses to fill out a short survey to help Council and local Business Chambers gather information to aid our retail sector in the future.
The Hilltops Christmas Spending Spree initiative was brought to you by the Hilltops Business Chambers of Boorowa (including Frogmore, Reids Flat, Rugby, Rye Park), Harden-Murrumburrah (including Galong and Jugiong) and Young (including Bendick-Murrell, Bribbaree, Koorawatha, Monteagle, Murringo and Wombat).
Supporting Economic Development
If you’re in business and have some good ideas about opportunities to support Economic activity in the Hilltops, the Hilltops Council Regional Economic Development committee would like to invite you to their meeting in Young on Tuesday November 19, 2019.
The meeting will kick off at 6pm at the Hilltops Council Chambers with an Open Business Forum commencing at 6.10 and concluding 6.55 pm. The idea behind the Forum is to provide the business community with the opportunity to interact with the committee and other business people.
Chair of the Committee, Elke Cleverdon, described the Open Forum as a way for the business community to elevate Economic Development ideas and comments directly to Council through Council’s Economic Development Committee.
“The existing Hilltops business community is the foundation for the future growth of our whole region. It is important to provide avenues for them to have direct dialogue with Council on what matters to them in business and to identify areas where Council can be of assistance to overcome obstacles to economic growth, and importantly put in place strategies to help the business community to prosper.”

With close to 40 local business people in attendance, the networking was amazing and Dr Marks presentation was extremely informative and relevant, focusing on the opportunities that are currently and will become available for this region and HM specifically.
